Nature's spendlor lines the road to the top of Mt. Ray Estates, where the view opens onto the city below and the Hudson River, meandering before the looming violet peaks of the Catskill Mountains.
In this spectacular setting, Mt. Ray Estates presents a planned, privated community of tastefully designed townhomes.
Views and natural beauty characterize the hilltop site of Mt. Ray Estates, where the atmosphere is distinctly and elegantly rural. Each home enjoys a special view, either of the lazy, sepentine Hudson River set against the beautiful Catskill mountains or the gently rolling Berkshires.
Only two hours away from New York City via Amtrak, Mt. Ray Estates is only four minutes away from the nearest train station. If you prefer to drive, you can get on the beautiful Taconic Parkway and be in the midst of the city in only two hours. The Hudson area itself is very diverse, as cultural and educational opportunities are abundant in the area. The Berkshires offer Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, the Berkshire Theatre, Shakespeare & Company, the Williamstown Theater, and the Clark Museum. Saratoga offers many programs at SPAC and the legendary track. Olana, the home of Frederick Church, is open to the public for tours, cross country skiing, hiking, and skating on the lake. For educational enrichment, Columbia-Greene Community College, Bard College, and SUNY at Albany offer many wonderful opportunities.
The historic heritage is one of the area's greatest assets, and Mt. Ray Estates maintains a strong tie to the past. Our architecture retains the traditional chracter of the homes in the area; the names of our streets and homes reflect the Hudson River and Valley past. In fact, had you been on our wooded hilltop long ago, you might have been the first to see Hendryk Hudson's Haalve Moon move slowly up the Hudson River, drop anchor into the cove below, and visit the Mohican Land now known as the City of Hudson, New York!
